DAIM Research has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with robotics company MX Robotics to establish a business partnership for the joint development of process logistics automation solutions based on Overhead Hoist Transport (OHT) systems.

The partnership was established to strengthen the competitiveness of Korean technologies and diversify the supply chain in the highly advanced OHT market, which has long been dominated by global foreign companies. Under the agreement, MX Robotics will be responsible for OHT equipment and system implementation, while DAIM Research will provide its AI-based OHT orchestration solution and optimize system operations. The two companies will initially focus on the semiconductor OHT market, where thousands of transport vehicles must be controlled in real time, and then gradually expand into applications including glass substrate, display, and secondary battery production lines, further strengthening the competitiveness of their Physical AI-based smart factory solutions.
