Youngjae Jang, CEO of DAIM Research and Professor at KAIST, said in a media interview that the company has independently developed a robot control solution capable of operating more than 1,000 heterogeneous robots from different manufacturers through a unified system. Unlike other models that rely on open source, DAIM Research has established its own technological capabilities by developing an in-house digital twin and AI reinforcement learning engine that trains and validates robots using historical data. The company currently supplies its solutions to global companies including LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI, and SK, and has secured cumulative investment of KRW 35 billion.

Professor Jang also attended a national policy briefing at the Blue House, where he proposed an export model that delivers complete factories as turnkey packages combining technology and equipment. The proposal received a positive response from President Lee Jae-myung. To help narrow the AI transformation (AX) gap between large enterprises and SMEs, Professor Jang is also providing a cloud-based simulation service free of charge. He emphasized his ambition to build Korea's equivalent of Siemens by leveraging the Physical AI testbed KAIROS 37, established on the KAIST Daejeon campus, as a foundation.
