  • 2022.09.20

The Advanced Manufacturing Intelligence Innovation Center, led by Professor Youngjae Jang of KAIST and CEO of DAIM Research, is gaining recognition as a leading model for the digital transformation of government-funded R&D. At the center, Professor Jang developed the world's first system capable of simultaneously controlling hundreds of robots, pioneering autonomous manufacturing processes. He also trained AI repeatedly in a digital twin-based virtual environment, significantly reducing the trial-and-error and costs associated with real-world implementation. In addition, the center has overcome the limitations of conventional automation through AI technologies capable of diagnosing equipment failures using only video and sound. Based on these technologies, DAIM Research is expanding its logistics system optimization business. The Ministry of Science and ICT visited the center and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting digital innovation in research. CEO Jang stated that the company will continue advancing its AI and digital twin technologies so they can serve as key drivers of digital transformation across Korea's strategic industries.
