DAIM Research Enables Logistics Automation Through Virtual Validation Technology

In an interview, Professor Youngjae Jang of KAIST and CEO of DAIM Research said that the company aims to accelerate the realization of fully autonomous factories through advanced digital twin technology. Professor Jang identified DAIM Research's software capabilities as the company's core competitive advantage, highlighting its ability to optimize robot collaboration in a virtual environment and resolve design issues before deployment. DAIM Research's Autonomous Factory Platform (AFP), powered by its multi-robot control solution, is improving productivity and has been deployed by major manufacturers, including Samsung Electronics and SK On.
CEO Jang explained that the reinforcement learning-based solution goes beyond conventional automation by establishing a new standard for autonomous operations in which robots collaborate seamlessly. He also said the company plans to accelerate its global expansion through the establishment of a U.S. subsidiary and the expansion of its SaaS offerings. Reaffirming his vision to realize a Software-Defined Factory (SDF), where the entire factory is operated through software, CEO Jang emphasized the company's strategy of leading the global autonomous manufacturing market with its Physical AI technologies.
