The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (KICOX) held a site visit and industry roundtable at the KAIST Physical AI Demonstration Lab as part of its Industrial Complex AX New Technology Benchmarking Program. The event was organized to explore practical applications for industrial complexes by examining a 100% automated unmanned factory testbed in which AI orchestrates the entire factory. Professor Youngjae Jang introduced the core technologies of the Physical AI Demonstration Lab to approximately 20 participants, including KICOX Chairman Lee Sang-hoon and representatives of tenant companies. He also demonstrated the complete operation of an unmanned factory, where 3D shuttles, AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots), and OHTs (Overhead Hoist Transport systems) are orchestrated through a single AI agent-based operating system (OS).

Visitors paid particular attention to advanced AX technologies, including AI- and digital twin-based automated logistics systems and simulation-driven decision-making. KICOX plans to leverage these demonstration cases to support the successful transition of tenant companies toward intelligent manufacturing. Chairman Lee Sang-hoon stated that the visit confirmed the global competitiveness of Korea's AI factory solutions and expressed his commitment to ensuring that Korea's own Physical AI technologies are effectively applied across industrial complexes and translated into practical business opportunities.
