Professor Youngjae Jang of KAIST and CEO of DAIM Research shared his vision for robot collaboration-driven manufacturing innovation at the Sparkle Club. Professor Jang emphasized that as manufacturing shifts toward robot-centered operations, seamless collaboration among robots will become a key source of future competitiveness. He described digital twin technology as a "data generator" that creates and trains operational data, explaining how it can be used to generate the optimal datasets required for autonomous operations.
He also stressed that establishing a digital chain and standardized data is essential to enable meaningful collaboration among industry, academia, and research institutions. Building on its proprietary AI-powered collaborative intelligence, DAIM Research is expanding its solutions across advanced industries, including semiconductors and secondary batteries. CEO Jang stated that the company aims to strengthen its software competitiveness in the global manufacturing market by leveraging collaborations with global companies and the outstanding talent ecosystem at KAIST.
