Professor Youngjae Jang of KAIST and CEO of DAIM Research received the Minister of Science and ICT Award at the Research and Development Special Zone Technology Commercialization Awards. DAIM Research was recognized for establishing a robot-based manufacturing automation platform within just three years of its founding and for demonstrating outstanding technological capabilities by supplying its solutions to major companies, including SK On and LG Energy Solution. The award was established to promote successful models for the commercialization of public research, and DAIM Research was recognized as an exemplary case of transforming university research into practical value for industry.

The platform led by Professor Jang maximizes the operational efficiency of logistics robots in large-scale manufacturing facilities and is driving the intelligent transformation of advanced manufacturing industries. CEO Jang shared the company's success stories during the accompanying discussion session and participated in conversations on the future direction of the Research and Development Special Zone program. He also stated that DAIM Research will continue advancing its differentiated Physical AI technologies to ensure that the outcomes of public research achieve success in the global market while contributing to Korea's growth as a global leader in autonomous manufacturing.
