DAIM Research CEO Youngjae Jang: "We Will Become Korea's Siemens."

Professor Youngjae Jang of KAIST and CEO of DAIM Research has secured a government-funded project to develop a regionally specialized AI model for Jeonbuk and is moving forward with technology validation. Through DAIM Research, Professor Jang is providing autonomous manufacturing optimization technologies that enable thousands of robots to collaborate and operate autonomously. The company currently serves more than 50 manufacturing sites and has achieved more than eightfold year-over-year revenue growth. In the first half of next year, DAIM Research plans to launch a Software-Defined Factory (SDF) solution that upgrades factory capabilities through software without requiring hardware replacement.

 

Professor Jang is also leading the "Factory Manager for Everyone" project, which provides robot operation software valued at KRW 200 million free of charge to help strengthen the manufacturing competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises. He stated, "We aim to become Korea's Siemens and transform the country's manufacturing industry." He also emphasized the company's commitment to building a Physical AI ecosystem that optimizes the operation of entire factories, going beyond individual production processes.
