DAIM Research CEO Youngjae Jang delivered the keynote address at the Digital Transformation Conference (DX con) on the 11th, presenting AI-driven autonomous factories powered by digital twins as a strategic response to the global competition for manufacturing leadership. CEO Jang stated, "Manufacturing is no longer just a trade issue—it has become a matter of national security," adding that the return of manufacturing to advanced economies signals continued growth in the automation market and that future manufacturing competitiveness will be determined by the ability to operate unmanned factories.

He emphasized AI-driven autonomous manufacturing as the core of this transformation, where operators manage production remotely through digital twin factories while robots carry out factory operations. He also explained that AI-powered factory operations can increase logistics throughput and operational efficiency by 20–30% while reducing total investment costs by approximately 20%. Finally, CEO Jang stressed that strengthening national industrial competitiveness is impossible without collaboration from small and medium-sized manufacturers, and called for active government and industry association support, as well as investment in infrastructure, to accelerate the adoption of automation.
