The Physical AI-powered unmanned factory platform incorporating the core technologies developed by Youngjae Jang, CEO of DAIM Research and Professor at KAIST, has demonstrated outstanding productivity improvements in real manufacturing environments. Through a Ministry of Science and ICT project, automotive parts manufacturer DH Autolead adopted KAIROS and achieved a 30-minute reduction in manufacturing time per product, resulting in a 7.4% increase in productivity.
The Physical AI Demonstration Lab system, built on Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), takes over repetitive tasks such as material transport, ensuring a stable production flow. As a result, workers are able to shift their focus from repetitive labor to higher-value operational and management tasks, including quality control and data-driven decision-making. CEO Jang stated, "Employment is created through the process of adapting to a new paradigm," emphasizing that Physical AI will be a key driver in addressing labor shortages at small and medium-sized enterprises.
