CTO Il-hoe Hwang: "Evolving into a Full-Scale `Factory OS` to Orchestrate End-to-End Production"

In a recent interview, DAIM CTO Il-hoe Hwang highlighted that even with the rise of humanoid robots, centralized orchestration systems remain critical to managing hundreds of robots without bottlenecks. He emphasized that true dark factories (autonomous manufacturing) require seamless coordination between unit-level robot intelligence and enterprise-level operational decision-making.
DAIM`s flagship solution, xMS—a vendor-agnostic Fleet Management System (FMS)—is scaling rapidly, now deployed across over 30 mass-production lines for industry leaders like SK On, LG Energy Solution, and Samsung Display.
Building on this foundation, DAIM is expanding its platform into a comprehensive Physical AI Autonomous Factory Platform (Factory OS), integrating production equipment, warehousing, and intralogistics under unified, AI-driven control. Following a surge in revenue from KRW 1.4 billion in 2024 to KRW 7.1 billion in 2025, DAIM is targeting an IPO late next year. The company plans to form a "Team Korea" alliance with domestic tech leaders to accelerate turnkey smart factory exports globally.
