DAIM Research Wins Grand Prize at the 2022 Digital Innovation Software Competition

DAIM Research, led by Professor Youngjae Jang of KAIST and CEO of DAIM Research, received the Grand Prize, the Minister of Science and ICT Award, at the 2022 Digital Innovation Software Competition hosted by the Korea Society for Computational Design and Engineering (CDE). The company demonstrated its technological leadership by introducing Korea's only integrated control solution capable of managing more than 1,000 logistics robots, combining AI and digital twin technologies.
The integrated logistics control solution, which was the foundation of this award, incorporates AI reinforcement learning-based multi-robot control technology that has been developed by KAIST researchers since 2016. The technology plays a key role in maximizing logistics efficiency and improving overall productivity in advanced manufacturing environments, including semiconductor and secondary battery production, and is already being deployed at manufacturing sites around the world. CEO Jang is leading the digital transformation of Korea's manufacturing industry based on proprietary technologies developed at KAIST. Following its successful Pre-Series A investment of KRW 2 billion just 18 months after its founding, DAIM Research plans to further strengthen its position as a leading software provider in the robot-based automation market with this Minister's Award.
