CTO Il-Hoi Hwang at National Assembly: “We Must Establish a Physical AI Unmanned Factory Platform Model”
- 2026.08.07

Attending the "Forum for South Korea`s Leap as a Global Robot Foundry" held at the National Assembly on the 6th as a keynote speaker, DAIM Research CTO Il-Hoi Hwang presented an unmanned factory system capable of autonomous, human-free production as the next-generation growth engine for Korean manufacturing. CTO Hwang explained that multi-robot collaborative systems working toward a common goal are an urgent priority not only for large conglomerates but also for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) suffering from labor shortages—identifying Physical AI as the core technology enabling this vision.
In particular, he emphasized that rather than replicating American or Chinese approaches, Korea should leverage its strengths as a manufacturing powerhouse to export fully integrated factory systems rather than standalone robots. To achieve this, he proposed policy support to establish government-led standard models tailored for SMEs and mid-sized enterprises, enabling domestic Physical AI startups to form alliances and export packaged solutions centered on Physical AI unmanned factory platforms.
